MCCAUGHEY PARK

Public BBQ

McCaughey Park offers a well-rounded regional escape centred around a scenic pond where ducks paddle about and the occasional pelican makes an appearance. The barbecue facilities are notably clean and well-maintained, complemented by picnic tables and benches scattered throughout the grounds. Families appreciate the splash park during summer months, though the lack of shade over the water play area becomes apparent on scorching days. The playground equipment remains accessible year-round, while an enclosed dog area allows four-legged visitors to stretch their legs. A waterside walking path proves popular with joggers and dog walkers alike. The park's toilets are kept in good order, with accessible facilities available. Council maintenance standards are evident throughout, making this a reliable stop for both quick breaks and longer visits. The combination of recreational options ensures the space serves multiple generations without feeling overcrowded.
